It shall be unlawful to have or maintain any vendor's stand on the streets, sidewalks
or other public ways of the city, or to have or use on the same any truck, motor vehicle,
wagon or other conveyance, as a vendor's stand; provided, however, nothing herein
shall prevent any person from lawfully selling from store to store, or from house
to house.
